MINIMUM" stay.
Our new "ADULTS
ONLY" policy has been implemented for both safety issues
with children and for the benefit of our guests celebrating their honeymoon, special
anniversary or are seeking a peaceful interlude away from their own children....
We also regret that limited staff and
safety precautions requiring the "buddy system" do not allow us to accommodate "SOLO
TRAVELERS"
With regard for our guests who do not smoke
or have kicked the habit, "SMOKING" is
not allowed inside the cottages or diningroom. |

PLEASE
NOTE: All prices are quoted in US dollars. The Government of Belize
levies a 9% Room Tax and 10% Sales Tax on all goods and services. A service charge
of 10% is also added in keeping with the industry average. Additional gratuities are
not expected but welcome at the end of your stay, if you feel our service was above

ACTIVITIES  

| NOTE: The following activities are classified as
"moderate" if you have good physical health and fitness. We highly recommend
carrying a day pack, water bottle, and flashlight. Lunch is included in the Che Chem Ha
Cave tour only; simple packed lunches are available for $5 each for hiking tours, and
there are a number of local restaurants available for the off-site tours. |

JUNGLE/CAVE
ADVENTURE - Hike through some of the most
beautiful areas of Ek' Tun and Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve. Both easy
and challenging jungle trails, Maya mounds and terraces, birds and wildlife, scenic vistas
and a magical cave. >>> $35 pp, maximum

CHE CHEM
HA CAVE/VACA FALLS - (often referred to as Chumpiate) Take a LandRover ride through the Cayo countryside and
the border town of Benque Viejo en route to Che Chem Ha, where you take a guided
tour of an ancient Mayan ceremonial cave with artifacts left in place for 1200 years.
Spend the afternoon exploring and swimming at beautiful Vaca Falls. Return to Ek' Tun with
just a short hike along the river. >>> $50 per person. (Includes
lunch and entrance fee.) |

RIVER
KAYAKING/ - Explore miles of uninhabited river, and your choice of sites along the
Macal, including resorts, a local "bush farm," Cristo Rey Village or San
Ignacio. Includes overland return to Ek' Tun. >>> $60 per
tour. Two person minimum/maximum. (Does not include entrance fees) |

RIVER/RUINS - Combine an
early morning paddle down the Macal River (see above), with an afternoon exploring the
ruins of Cahal Pech and/or Xunantunich. This is a very full day. >>>$110
per tour, 2 person minimum/maximum. (Includes entrance fees at ruins only.) |

BORDER/RUINS
- Capture
the color, culture and a few bargains as well across the Guatemalan border in the village
of Melchor de Mencos, then spend the afternoon exploring the ruins at Xunantunich and
Cahal Pech. >>> $60 for transfer (1-4 persons) plus $50 per person.
(Includes departure and entrance fees.) |

BUSHWHACKING - Be one of the first
since the ancient Mayas to see what lies in the depths of these unexplored valleys! This
is your chance to discover caves and Maya sites hidden deep in the jungle for centuries.
You must be physically fit and ready for anything! >>>$30 pp, maximum 4 |

TIKAL
DAY TRIP - A long day, recommended only for those who do not have time for the "TIKAL
EXTENSION." Early morning transfer
to the Guatemalan border where you will meet your Guatemalan driver hired specially for
Tikal trips. This is a full day excursion, with 4 hours of travel for 5 hours of
sight-seeing and touring the supreme Mayan city of Tikal. >>> $210 for
1-4 people, $30 each additional person. Does not include departure fees or park/museum
entrance fees, which are paid on arrival ($28 per person additional) |

| PAYMENT - We
respectfully request that payment is made by personal check. In the event
that you do not have access to US$, or prefer to use a credit card, we can accept
MasterCard or Visa, with a 5% processing fee. Please indicate your payment
preference when you request a quote. |
  
RESERVATIONS/CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS:
We maintain irregular office hours for
phone service, but you may still conveniently request reservations, ask general
questions about weather, itineraries, etc., by email: info@ektunbelize.com
Please Note: If you do not receive an e-mail
reply within 48 hours, please resend your message and we will be in touch as soon as
possible.
LAST MINUTE TRAVELERS
ONLY, CALL 011-501-820-3002 BETWEEN 7:00- 8:00 AM OR 6:00-8:00 PM CST.
A deposit of 30%
of the total amount quoted is requested within 7 days from our verbal confirmation, with
the balance due 45 days prior to arrival.
Cancellations
made more than 60 days in advance will receive a 50% refund of the deposit.
Cancellations made from 45-60 days prior to arrival receive no refund of deposit.
Cancellations made less than 45 days before the scheduled trip receive no refund of
payment. Under special circumstances we will provide a voucher good for up to
one year from the cancellation date.
No refunds will
be given for services or tours prepaid and not used, however substitutions are always
happily made where possible. |
